I was at Office Depot a little while ago, and while browsing through the ink cartridges for printers, saw a sale on the particular print cartridges that my former best friend uses. I was seriously dialing her number to tell her about it, when I figured out that we aren't speaking anymore.
Why is it that certain things remind us so much of people in our past?
This is not the first instance of something similar happening to me. For example, when a relationship went sour last year, everything I saw - from rental trucks to furniture brands reminded me of this person. It seemed that I could not get away from his name or something we had done together or talked about with each other.
Im interested in who else feels this way, so if you have any stories like this, just drop me a comment, and we can search the reasons together. (BTW- my mom tells me that it is just that our mind is more open to recognizing signs like this) Anyway, your thoughts?

I constantly have moments like these. I see certain types of vehicals and think of certain people. I hear a song on the radio and it takes me back to another place and time. I drive past certain places of businesses and all sorts of memories come flooding back. Smells are another thing that really get me. I think some people have an easier time getting into their memory databank easier than others and I happen to be one of those who can access mine at a super fast rate. Does this mean that we live a semi-present, semi-past life?
